The IDP Team

Kent Carlson

Kent has collaborated with cities, clients and communities on developments in the Twin Cities area for more than 35 years. Kent’s expertise is in master development planning, with an award-winning track record. He has a national reputation for redevelopment and brownfields. His focus has been in retail, industrial and office development. Kent is a frequent guest speaker on development and redevelopment topics, most recently at the Ehlers Conference and the Minnesota Shopping Center Association (MSCA).

Tom Shaver

Tom brings more than 33 years of experience and development expertise to work for clients and communities every day. His wealth of knowledge managing real estate portfolios makes him an ideal advisor. Tom’s expertise is in negotiating acquisitions and development agreements and securing financing and entitlements. His focus has been in healthcare, office, residential, retail and institutional properties.  Tom has built outstanding relationships throughout the Midwest.

Steve Schwanke

With more than 30 years of experience, Steve adds particular value in advising clients and cities on large-scale development and redevelopment opportunities and in assisting with commercial real estate and land decisions. Steve’s expertise is in land development and redevelopment, site selection, land planning, entitlements, zoning and master planning. His focus has been in commercial, multi-family and mixed-use properties. Steve is a frequent guest speaker on development, redevelopment and economic development issues.

Bob Cunningham

For 35 years, Bob has worked on complex retail, multi-family and entertainment development projects in the Twin Cities and Seattle areas. Bob’s expertise is in acquisitions, development agreements, financing, and development. He is focused in the leasing of office and industrial properties, as well as retail and multi-family development.  Bob is an expert in sustainable and green building practices.

Jean Giltner

Jean brings more than 16 years of real estate experience to the Inland Development Partners team. She organizes and manages a wide variety of strategic initiatives and projects for the team with creativity, talent and skill. Jean’s expertise is in project management, event management, proposal execution, and facilities design and management.  Jean is an invaluable asset to the IDP team.
